After winning a heat in his first race for Junee trainer-driver Bruce Harpley, Stening put on a dazzling display in the $26,000 final.
After surrending the lead early, Stening then ran down leader Monivae to win in a fast mile rate of 1:52.0.
He took almost six seconds of his previous best and has now earned more than $75,000.
The Real Eagle then brought up the double for Yanco trainer Brad Hillyer and Victorian reinsman David Moran.
Following a similar pattern, The Real Eagle also surrended the lead before holding off Deecaesar to win by a head.
It was the seven-year-old’s third straight win since returning from more than three and half years off the racetrack after a number of tendon issues.
