The Greens tackle fellow Group Nine strugglers Tumut at Twickenhan on Sunday.
Currently last, Tumbarumba can move around four teams, if results go their way away, and with two points guaranteed for next week’s bye a win would ensure the spoon doesn’t stick with them.
Staying off the bottom has been one priority for captain-coach Robbie Byatt and he believes the clash with their nearest rivals is their biggest of the season.
“It is definitely a big game for us, it is a big day for both teams really, so it should be good,” Byatt said.
“It will be a tough trip away, they will be up for the challenge.
The Greens are coming off a heavy defeat to Albury last week but will be at full strength with Matt Byatt and John Cameron coming back into the team.
