Murrumbidgee Turf Club is scheduled to host a TAB meeting on Thursday but it is extremely doubtful to go ahead due to constant rain.
Wagga was originally meant to race last Friday but the meeting was postponed to Thursday.
Further rain over the weekend has not helped and Southern District chief steward John Davidson will inspect the track on Wednesday.
MTC chief executive Scott Sanbrook revealed the outlook is not bright.
“A lot of doubt is surrounding the meeting,” Sanbrook said.
“We had an additional 12 millimetres of rain on the weekend and the forecast is for more showers on Wednesday.
“It’s frustrating for everyone and I can relate to the frustrations of owners and trainers.
“As a club, we hate to lose a meeting, let alone more than one.”
Thursday’s race meeting was the final Wagga raceday for the season and was set to determine the club’s premierships.
It is also includes the Riverina Cup (3800m), NSW’s longest race, which is the final leg of the Wagga Stayers Series.
Meantime, Davidson will also inspect the Gundagai track on Wednesday, ahead of their scheduled race meeting on Sunday.
“We were down there last week and it was very wet and they have had a lot more rain,” Davidson said.
Gundagai-Adelong Racing Club have received 143 nominations for the seven-race card.
The Wagga and Gundagai meetings were the last two in the Southern District for the season.
