FWW shouted down Wagga United’s idea to play at Gissing Oval instead of Rawlings Park 1.
Henwood Park and Wagga United first-grade squads have not played since May 28 due to wet weather and a general bye.
On Saturday morning when Rawlings Park 1 was deemed too dangerous for play, Wagga United officials asked the association if they could play the game on a different ground that night.
Club officials suggested Gissing Oval, considering three State League Wanderers games scheduled for 11am, 1pm and 3pm on Saturday were given the green light.
The idea was vetoed by FWW senior official Dean Pinney.
Gissing Oval has been set aside exclusively for the Wanderers according to FWW president Erwin Budde.
“They (the Wagga City Wanderers) use Gissing Oval exclusively and the management of this oval is up to the WCW management team,” Budde said.
Teams in the local competition have not used the Wanderers’ stomping ground this season to date.
“It's still a council ground, we should all be allowed to play there if needed,” Lawrence said via Twitter.
Lawrence has slammed FWW for having #doublestandards.
“When the Wanderers needed to use our ground at the start of the year we got moved to a far inferior ground," Lawrence said.
“Why couldn't the...match be moved to Gissing Oval to play after the Wanderers game?”
Lawrence believes Pascoe Cup teams should be allowed to play on Gissing Oval if State League teams are allowed to play on Rawlings Park 1.
“You would think they would've returned the favour after taking Rawlings Park 1 off us earlier in the year,” Lawrence said.
