Playing in a special Indigenous Round guernsey, the Demons ensured they marked the occasion with a victory, winning 13.13 (91) to 8.1 (49).
Only 21 points separated the two teams at half-time, but Collingullie-GP produced a five-goal third term to put the result beyond doubt.
Demons midfielder Jayden Klemke produced a dominant performance to guide his team home.
Jimmy Kennedy booted four goals, while Geoff Sprigs also pushed forward in the second half to finish with three.
Collingullie-GP coach Brett Lenon gave credit to Turvey Park for making them earn the win.
“There was some good passages of play, by Turvey as well don’t worry, they made it hard work and had a good crack at us,” Lenon said.
“We got what we wanted, to win, but that’s all we did today.
“We tried to do the things we wanted to do but we just weren’t good enough to execute it.
“That’s something we will knuckle down on at training.”
Matt Beckmans sustained a knee injury in the win, while James Morris (cork) and Spriggs (hamstring) also battled through.
The Demons hope to get six players back after next week’s bye.
Evan Smith was best for Turvey Park with a strong display in the ruck, while Brendan Bryce booted three goals.
