The WACA will host the opening Test of the summer for the first time in more than a decade when Australia takes on South Africa in early November.

The last time Perth kicked off the summer of cricket was way back in 2003 against Zimbabwe, when former Australian opener Matthew Hayden smacked a then world record 380.
It was only two summers ago the WACA didn't get a Test at all, when the Indians came to Australia for a four-match series.
WACA CEO Christina Matthews said hosting the first Test, between November 3-7, was "fantastic" for WA cricket fans.
"WA cricket is currently undergoing an exciting and widespread transformation, particularly in relation to how it works with the state government and the developing Perth Stadium," he said. "
"The decision to play the opening Test in WA is a sign of WA's growing importance in the staging of international cricket.
"We look forward to welcoming both Australia and South Africa for the First Test and creating an enjoyable experience for their supporters."
The status of a day-night Test - first staged last summer at Adelaide Oval - remains uncertain because of South African opposition to the concept.
