Hull was the Hawks’ best in the 18.10 (118) to 4.4. (28) victory at Gumly Oval, with the ruckman-forward kicking three goals, while star forward Marc Geppert finished with seven.
“Gep was good today, he performed well but we probably had a better spread of contributors, with Hully sharing it around,” coach Gavin McMahon said.
McMahon said the Hawks’ execution was an improvement on round one and praised the Bushpigs’ effort.
“They competed and contested all day, we just made the most of our forward entries,” he said.
Jack Egan and Rob Herzfeld were among CSU’s best.
