Jets co-coach Sam Fisher said they couldn’t begrudge a young footballer keen to play at a higher standard, and he has confidence in the players coming out of their premiership-winning under 17 team.
“It’s a bit of a disappointment but we’ve got plenty of young fellas coming up who’ll get an opportunity – there’s about seven out of that side who will be playing senior footy,” Fisher said.
Flagg was restricted to 11 games for the Jets last season due to NSW-ACT Rams and GWS commitments.
And in the Riverina League, Brad Boots has decided against travelling home for another season with Leeton-Whitton. Now working in Albury, Boots has transferred back to Lavington Panthers for this season.
