The Eagles have lacked a power forward for the past couple of seasons but they will enter the upcoming Riverina League season with a new look attack after the signing of Foster.
Narrandera landed one of the signings of the off-season before Christmas when NSW Country representative Jarred Lane crossed from Ovens and Murray League club Corowa-Rutherglen.
Lane, Foster and Nathan Finnen are all set to give Narrandera a number of tall forward options.
Finnen has also come on board after time with Bermagui and Billabong Crows.
Narrandera captain-coach Tim Sullivan believes Foster will be a valuable addition to his team.
“It’s good to get a key forward,” Sullivan said.
“It’s good to have another new face around the club that is from around the area and will be able to get to training.
“He wanted a bit of a change so we’re happy to have him. He’s got a clean start and we’ll be looking for him to fire.”
Sullivan said Foster will slot into the Narrandera team at full-forward.
Foster kicked 27 goals for the Jets in 16 appearances last season but often played up the ground at centre-half-forward.
He kicked 55 goals for the Jets in 2013 in his best return for the club.
“At this stage, full-forward will be the position for him which is good,” Sullivan said.
“We’ve got a couple now that can play deep forward and Mick will be a permanent one.”
Narrandera will boast some of the best key tall stocks in the competition as they look to improve on last year’s eighth-place finish.
Lachie Hunter will shoulder the majority of the ruck duties, while Finnen and Lane are also capable ruckmen.
At this stage, Sullivan has pencilled in Finnen for centre-half-forward and Lane will be a genuine utility.
“Jarred at this stage will play forward, I’m looking maybe full-forward, forward pocket swapping with Lach in the ruck,” Sullivan said.
“He can also play across half-back but he’s agile enough to play in the midfield and he’s a quality ruckman as well.
“He will be a utility, but we will try to use him in a more attacking way.”
Finnen had originally signed with Hume League club Lockhart but has ended up at Narrandera.
The Eagles will also welcome midfielder Ryan Broad from Western Australia.
Narrandera have their first trial against The Rock-Yerong Creek on March 5.
