Hartwig is in his final year at university in Canberra and Temora coach Christin Macri said it’s always pleasing to bring a local player back.
“He’s had a good crack at Belconnen,” Macri said.
“He didn’t quite crack it for a regular senior game but he’s played some good footy for their reserves.”
Macri said the key position player can play just about anywhere but is likely to start the season up forward.
Temora have the bye first up but have locked in two practice games – against Riverina League teams Leeton-Whitton on April 2 and Coolamon a week later.
