Even the walls of Lithgow's maximum security prison have not been enough to limit convicted murderer and drug kingpin Anthony "Rooster" Perish's reach.

Former spray painter Craig Alexander Strachan, 26, shared a jail cell with Perish, who is serving a maximum 24-year jail term for the murder and dismemberment of a drug dealer in 2001, before his release.
Police will allege that last year, Strachan went to the house of one of his former cellmate's friends, a man Perish wanted as a witness as part of his case in the Court of Criminal Appeal.
Though it is alleged the old associate was reluctant to vouch for Perish.
Strachan and another man are accused of turning up outside the home on Colonel Pye Drive in Cobbitty, south-west of Sydney, on April 23, 2015, court documents state.
Police will allege Perish's former mate was beckoned outside before Strachan fired a shot at the home.
It will be further alleged Strachan declared his actions were "for Anthony" before getting into a car and driving off.
Police managed to hunt down the alleged gunman after tracing the car's registration to Strachan's father, according to court documents.
Strachan's father is not suspected of having any involvement in the alleged shooting.
It occurred a day before Perish's appeal bid was due to come before a Sydney court.
Strachan is due to appear in Campbelltown Local Court next month on a charge of firing a firearm at a dwelling as part of an organised criminal activity.
Court documents state Strachan had been using ice and heroin before his arrest, habits he picked up in custody.
"He had become estranged from his family and he was living on the streets," states Strachan's girlfriend's affidavit, which was tendered in court.
Perish is appealing against his conviction and the sentence handed down to him in 2012 for the murder of police informant Terry Falconer.
The high-profile case, complete with elaborate drug cooking operations, rollover witnesses and a more than decade-long homicide investigation, inspired the Underbelly TV series, Badness.
Mr Falconer was on work release from prison in November, 2001, when men posing as police officers escorted him from a Sydney smash repairs.
He was assaulted and his mouth covered with chloroform before he was put into a galvanised steel box.
He was driven north to a property in Girvan, north of Newcastle, where his body was chopped up and put in several bags before they were chucked in the Hastings River on the Mid North Coast.
Some of the witnesses' identities were suppressed during the criminal trial as a form of protection from Perish.
Perish's brother, Andrew, was sentenced to 12 years' jail for conspiracy to murder.
Perish's offsider Matthew Lawton was sentenced to 20 years' jail after being convicted of murder.
The trio's trial had heard the motivation to kill Mr Falconer lay with the Perish brothers' belief that he was responsible for murdering their elderly grandparents in 1993.
