With the start of the school year fast approaching, so is the need for the obligatory school supplies shop.

While some kids are busy picking out what contact and backpacks they want, others may not even have basic supplies to go back to school with.

This is where Operation Backpack steps in, running from January 4 to 18 the aim of the drive is to collect donated school supplies like pens, pencils, exercise books, pencil cases, lunch boxes and back packs.

To make a donation place any items into the donation bins located throughout the Wagga Marketplace.

All items are distributed to local families in need by the St Vincent de Paul Society.

Operation Backpack is proudly supported by The Daily Advertiser and Riverina Leader.
