The Wagga club had been very quiet since missing out of the finals in 2015 but have announced five new signings for the upcoming season.
Leading the list is former Junee utility Hayden Diggins.
Brothers coach Ben Black believes he will be an ideal replacement for Brock Dunn after his switch to Gundagai.
“Losing Brock we needed another hooker or utility player and Hayden is a fantastic player," Black said.
“He’s going to be good for us and can help our kicking game out.
“You always need a left and right footed kicker in your team so I think he is going to be huge for us.”
Diggins found himself out of favour with the Diesels late last season and went to the club searching for more opportunities.
“Obviously he was a bit disappointed about the way he was treated at Junee last year,” Black said.
Black also confirmed the move of Joe Ioane-Toetu from Tumut.
He is looking for the front rower to add plenty of bulk to the Brothers pack.
“He’s probably going to be our biggest signing," Black said.
“Props are hard to get at the moment and Joe is really looking forward to a new challenge.”
Matt Ward will also return to the club while Ethan and Isaac McKenzie have also re-committed to the club after taking some time away from the sport.
Black is also hoping the club will secure the services of two more players but the deals are not over the line yet.
Brock and Noa Fotu are the only confirmed losses but Ed Ansell’s future remains uncertain.
The teenager has been trialing with the Bulldogs and Black doesn’t expect him to be with the club in 2016.
“He’s not 100 per cent what he is going to be doing yet but I’m 90 per cent sure he won’t be at the club,” he said.
“We wish him all the best down there.”
The club is yet to have a formal training run with Black preferring to wait until after the Christmas period.
Training will start from January 5.
