Conolly Rugby Complex will play host to the Australian Development sevens tournament this weekend with SIRU given a wildcard entry.
Twenty five teams from across the country will be part of the event and coach Seth Stoltenberg believes it will be a great opportunity.
“We have a really good, high quality sevens competition here in Southern Inland so picking the best out of that and going up against the best of other states is exciting and a great opportunity for the girls,” Stoltenberg said.
With a busy schedule following the end of the Southern Inland season, Sarah Hogan is looking forward to taking on some familiar faces.
“We’ve played with quite a few girls from other teams, we all know what they have to bring and it will be good,” Hogan said.
Overall 65 games will be played, with the action kicking off on Saturday at 9am.
