Already including West Wyalong, Condobolin, Grenfell and Canowindra, if three more clubs were all to join this competition they would be able to create a northern and southern pool.
After discussions with Monaro Rugby Union, joining this competition has been ruled out as an option for Cootamundra.
However Young remain interested in the Monaro league, and are waiting to hear if the competition is full.
While much is undecided, Tricolours president Bob Scott said they will only field one team.
