Racing NSW and the NSW Government have announced a $21 million injection into country and provincial prizemoney, that will take place from July next year.
About 40 showcase meetings a year will also be introduced where prizemoney will be upgraded to $30,000 per race.
The benefits come from the proceeds of the recently announced wagering tax parity.
Racing NSW also committed to about $50 million for capital works at country and provincial race clubs from accumulated race fields fees.
They also announced a payment of $2 million per annum to race clubs throughout NSW to enable them to meet their operating costs and operate at best practice levels.
Racing NSW said the announcements would not have been possible without Mike Baird and Troy Grant from the NSW Government.
