After an extensive search for their innovative new position, the Blues have settled on Srama, the older brother of Gold Coast Titans hooker Matt Srama.
Sramas brings an impressive playing, coaching, recruiting and development background to the club from places such as United States, England, France and across Australia.
Tumut president Dan Roddy is thrilled with the appointment.
“Luke’s appointment is a major component in the Tumut Blues club business plan, with the role of the clubs full time development officer, being a first for not only the Blues, but for Country Rugby League (CRL) as a whole,” Roddy said.
“Not only will this bring into the club an individual with a playing background that is impressive, but Luke’s ability and experience to develop players, coaches and kids at all levels, were key areas the recruitment committee targeted.
“His capability to provide strong leadership and foster a positive culture in the club, in order to lay the foundations for future success, were highly desired and valued.”
Srama and his partner will move to Tumut for the next three years, at least, and he starts his role in mid-January.
Srama can play at hooker or in the halves.
