An error in judgement saw Ainscough snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
In the final minute of Batley’s game against Featherstone in his native England, Ainscough had intended to kick the ball dead, but instead set up a beautiful long-range try for the Featherstone winger, who caught the perfect bounce from the most imperfect kick.
