The classy midfielder has not played for the Goannas since August 1 as he battles a knee injury.
Daniher will undergo surgery at the season’s end but hopes to play his part in MCUE’s premiership campaign beforehand.
Daniher wants to return for Saturday’s second semi-final against Wagga Tigers at Narrandera Sportsground.
“I’ll have a fitness test on Friday night,” Daniher said.
“I’m probably 50-50 at this stage.
“I’ll wait and see how it goes.”
Daniher’s availability would be a huge boost to the Goannas.
The 29-year-old is a two-time Mulrooney Medallist during a nine-year stint with AFL Canberra club Queanbeyan.
He joined MCUE last year and has wasted no time making an impression in his return to the Riverina League, with Daniher and Col Sanbrook leading the Goannas’ charge up the ladder.
Daniher, though, has full confidence in the Goannas, with or without him.
“I think we’ll be alright anyway,” he said.
“You’ve got Harry Collins and Stace Creasy in there, they’ve been playing good footy, along with blokes like Andrew Pettigrove, Col Sanbrook and those sort of guys as well.
“Then you throw in the young guys who have been going really well too.
“As long as we turn up on the day and play our best.”
The knee injury has kept Daniher sidelined for all but two of the Goannas’ games in the second half of the year.
He struggled with the injury the first time MCUE played Tigers at Robertson Oval earlier in the year, then missed the second clash.
