His owner, Gavin Browne, was walking his pet around Lake Albert one day when Otis suddenly decided to run up a tree.
Mr Browne, a B-double sheep truck driver, said Otis was a dog who was “eager to please”.
With a “hop up” command, Otis turns and runs straight up a particular tree near the Wagga Boat Club.
“He just loves to jump,” Mr Browne said.
Mr Browne uses Otis as a working dog to help load sheep in and out of his truck.
The Kelpie cross is two-and-a-half years old, and has a companion, Jess, who isn’t quite as adventurous.
Kelpies are renowned for their energy, so Mr Browne takes his dogs for a walk every couple of days to keep them sane.
