Danny O’Hare seems to think it is.
The long time Railway Street resident reckons the state of the rail yard on the eastern side of the railway station is in the worst state he’s seen it in more than 25 years.
“Even five years ago the site looked much better than now,” Mr O’Hare said.
“I understand it’s an industrial yard, but I don’t expect it to look like a rubbish tip.

“It’s just getting worse and worse.”
Mr O’Hare said it didn’t send a good message for people visiting Wagga.
“Since the International Hotel was built they’ve at least poisoned the overgrown grass to get rid of the fire hazard,” he said.
“Clean the rubbish away. I know they have to have sleepers there, but put some trees in there to block it out. They’d block the sound out as well.
“Simple as that.”
An Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) spokesman said the railway line was a common target for vandals.
“We encourage residents to touch base with ARTC directly on 1300 550 402 if they need to report issues that require attention,” the spokesman said
“The photos show the yard being used for its typical purpose, in an industrial area which is in relatively good condition for its intended use.
“It is an appropriate location for the storage of various railway related materials and has been operational for many years.
“Unfortunately, the railway can be a target for graffiti and vandalism – this is also very frustrating for us.
“We encourage residents to report any suspicious activity they see to police.”
Mr O’Hare wrote to member for Wagga Daryl Maguire to highlight the issue.
Mr Maguire replied to Mr O’Hare earlier this week.
“Only recently I have asked that the rail authority clean up the graffiti that is along the corridor,” he said in the letter.
Mr Maguire said he would take a look at the site.
