Blood needed
BLOOD donations by the public are currently one in 30 which surprises.
As it is such an easy and safe process here in Australia, perhaps we need to revisit the reason as to why we don’t give it up every three months.
There is a waiting period for cancer patients, those with recent tattoos and some others but what about the rest.
Variety Bash
VARIETY Bash participants, in endless variety, stirred local support, particularly students of Narrandera Public School, through their up-beat personalities and generosity.
This included nearly $8000 of readers, garden beds, art supplies and sporting equipment for more than 230 kids.
According to CEO of Variety Tam Johnston, during the 30 years the event has been running, $208 million has been raised for Australian children in need.
This money has been used to provide “mobility, self-esteem and independence to the lives of thousands of special needs and disadvantaged kids”.
Narrandera Public School children had a valuable learning experience and asked some tough questions, requiring creative answers by those involved in the rally.
