A WOMAN suffered burns to 70 per cent of her body after an explosion at a Tumut caravan park on Monday morning.
The explosion occurred in her cabin at the Riverglade Caravan Park about 11.30am.
Witnesses and bystanders grabbed the woman and put her in the river until help arrived.
NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics treated the woman for burns to her face and arms, before she was airlifted by Snowy Hydro SouthCare.

A WOMAN has been airlifted from a Tumut caravan park after she sustained burns from an explosion this morning.
A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said they responded to reports of an explosion at Riverglade Caravan Park about 11.30am.
The woman was treated for burns to her face and arms at the scene by paramedics, before she was flown out by Snowy Hydro SouthCare.
