Music 4 Mates
ON AUGUST 20 Music 4 Mates will be hosting Joe Williams at the Coolamon Sport and Recreation Club.
Joe is a local boxing identity and rugby league player who has dealt with depression in his life.
Joe tells his story and has a question and answer session during this time.
The event will begin at 7.30pm at the Coolamon Sport and Recreation Club.
This event is free for the community to attend.
This follows the unfortunate news that the Music 4 Mates concert due to be held on October 10 has been cancelled.
The continued work the Music 4 Mates committee do in and for our local community and the effort put in by its members is truly inspiring and I encourage anyone who is interested in supporting this local organisation to do so.
For more information on Joe Williams’ visit or Music 4 Mates, phone Kaarin Edyvean on 0427 528 363.
HSC countdown
THE countdown to the HSC exams has well and truly begun and the Coolamon library welcomes all year 12 students to the library as a quiet, welcoming place to study, research and prepare for their upcoming exams.
COOLGRASS
FOLLOWING a successful grant application, Coolamon will again be inundated with bluegrass lovers this September with the COOLGRASS Bluegrass Festival from September 11 to 13.
Now in its third year, the jam-packed weekend will include jamming sessions in Coolamon and Narrandera as well as a live concert on Saturday, September 12, highlighted by four nationally acclaimed bluegrass bands in Coolamon’s Old Methodist church.
The festival aims to become an annual event on the Coolamon Shire calendar and also promotes Coolamon Shire's assets such as its heritage, and boutique businesses, increases the awareness of the Coolamon Shire as a quality tourist destination and injects an economic boost to the shire community.
With an even greater diversity of attendees and performers expected this year, COOLGRASS will not disappoint.
