Murrumbidgee Turf Club is scheduled to hold their first race meeting of the season on Friday but the weather over the next two days will decide whether it goes ahead.
The track received 25 millimetres of rain on Saturday, then another millimetre on Monday and is a heavy 10.
“One of the main concerns at this stage is the forecast for (Wednesday),” MTC chief executive Scott Sanbrook said.
“The track is certainly still very heavy after the weekend’s rain and we will be anxiously looking at the skies over the next couple of days.”
Two horses will gallop on the course proper on Wednesday to get a gauge on the safety of the track.
