Kahlefeldt was top 40 in the professional world rankings in the July qualifier.
The 36-year-old is currently in a French training camp as he prepares for the big event in Hawaii in October.
“All is well in the France camp,” Kahlefeldt said.
“I’m training well and the build-up starts for Kona.
“Without such amazing support of my biggest sponsors Giant bikes, Asics, McDonalds and Scody it would be almost impossible to make it this far.”
Kahlefeldt’s next race will be an Ironman 70.3 in a few weeks time.
He will be joined by fellow Wagga triathletes Jared Kahlefeldt, Ryan Miller and Marcus Smith in Hawaii.
