Tolland had enjoyed an undefeated start to the season but were brought down by a much-improved South Wagga unit.
South Wagga backed up last week’s 3-2 win over Young with another spirited victory that suggests they may well be premiership contenders.
Meantime, Young also caused a major boilover with a 3-0 win over reigning premier Wagga United.
Young bounced back from last week’s loss to score a big win over United.
It was Wagga United’s second consecutive loss and they have not scored a goal in the past 180 minutes of soccer, conceding five during that period.
Junee enjoyed a 9-0 win over Tumut, while Cootamundra also had a big day out with a 9-0 victory over Temora.
