WHERE did the AFL get the message that they should play a Gay Pride round of matches? It certainly did not come from the grassroots footy supporters.

They are never consulted, of course. Australians are not racist or intolerant. Look at all the different “cultures” represented on our footy grounds. If there is racism , where is the evidence? And, sir, please don’t cite the one incident involving Adam Goodes last year.
It has made heaps of money for him. Please do not use our great game for political purposes. Parents, AND PARENTS ONLY, have the right to educate their children in these matters.
It is not up to the AFL to ram it down their throats. The AFL would do far more for footy if they had just one family friendly game where all of a family could get into the ground for, say, a $50 ticket.

No point voting today
THERE is no point voting in the state election. All the politicians in this state care about is Sydney and Canberra.
We won’t get a say in what happens in Wagga and the other Riverina towns and cities. Look at the things Sydney gets.
First hit on cheap petrol, money for entertainment venues - we can’t afford to get too. Canberra, best road upkeep, best entertainment - which we also can’t afford.
Have any of our government representatives done anything for us? ie. repair Bourke Street, clean the lagoon properly, or save Hampden Bridge? No. All we get is bypass roads that stop people stopping here.
Company closures because of no government support, causing job losses. Less police, creating more crime. Before long Wagga will be named “Little St Kilda” - heaps of crime, prostitution, drug availability, sexual assault, robberies, break and enters, etc.
Thanks NSW government. There’s more to NSW than Sydney and Canberra.

Call to political arms
TRULY one of the most faithful servants of State Parliament, and therefore of the people of NSW, is the Reverend Fred Nile, Member of the Legislative Council.
Throughout this long period he has proved to be absolutely trustworthy, honest, incorruptible with impeccable behaviour in and outside of Parliament. Although he has had and has fierce enemies who have threatened and ill-treated him and his family, he has never ever returned evil for evil, and this thoroughly Christian behaviour has earned him the respect of all in Parliament, even his political enemies.
Because of his wisdom, honesty and incorruptibility he has chaired numerous committees of enquiry. In all his parliamentary work and in direct dealings with industry and working people he has always had the interest of people and of families at heart. If you want to vote in your own interest and in the interest of your family, now and into the future, give Fred Nile or the local CDP (Christian Democratic Party) Candidate your No1 Vote.

Thanks to kind helpers
I WOULD like to express my sincere thanks to the police, ambulance, fire department for their immediate response to my call recently. My neighbour’s house alarm went off and with all the home invasions of late one cannot ignore alarms. Even though it was an honest mistake, it could have been a number of other problems.
Once again, my heartfelt thanks to everyone involved. This alarm has encouraged me to have the same connected to my home.
