Operating from a council-owned Peter Street building since 2011, the RRL administration centre provides centralised services for 13 branch libraries and one mobile library in nine council areas.
The organisation expanded in 2013 when four additional council areas joined the RRL under the closure of the neighbouring Upper Murray Regional Library.
It now services 18 libraries, three deposit stations and two mobile libraries.
Member for Wagga Daryl Maguire announced $100,000 for the new facility under the public library infrastructure grants program.
The administrative operation is likely to move to a council-owned building on Galing Place mid next year, subject to a successful development application.
