YOUNG have been the next Group Nine club to make a big splash in the off-season player market, securing three new recruits.
The Cherrypickers will add some size in 2015 with former New Zealand Warriors under 20 prop Visesio Setefano set to bolster their pack.
Kyle Richens has also returned to the club, and coach Luke Branighan is looking forward to have a couple of bigger men leading the charge this season.
"We are very excited about Setefano's signing as it is an area we have struggled against the top sides over the years," Branighan said.
"Setefano will bring some size and punch into our attack.
"Hopefully with these new signings and bit more size in pack it will give blokes like myself and Neil Thorman some time and space with the ball and well as tighten up our defence."
After playing at Toukley, Richens will make a bigger impact this season as he returns to his junior club, Branighan said.
The Cherrypickers have also secured the signing of former Cowra utility Carl Planicka.
Planicka can either pay in the second row or in the backline and Branighan believes he'll add good depth to the club.
"He's been training the house down and I'm looking forward to him being part of our squad this year," Branighan said.
"I watched him play in the Group 10 grand final last year and he doesn't take a backward step."
The Cherrypickers have also been linked to controversial former Newcastle Knights prop Zane Tetevano.
After being deregistered by the NRL last season following an on-going assault case, Tetevano needs to go through the judicial system and get clearance by Country Rugby League before making a commitment for the 2015 season.
