THE Rock-Yerong Creek (TRYC) has started to experience the benefits of a strong recruitment campaign with another handful of players joining the Magpies' for their exciting 2015 premiership campaign.
TRYC proved itself to be the early mover in the off-season with the signings of star Albury forward Andy Carey and Collingullie's Josh Meiselbach, along with the return of Mitch Ward, Tom Yates and Casey Hillary.
The benefits of the early recruitment have already showed with another five players joining the Magpies.
Narrandera midfielder Mark Flack, Tullibigeal young gun Kieran Fair and Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong trio Brad Hare, Sam Kefford and Mitch Fennessy have all jumped on board.
Highly-rated Bathurst recruit Dennis Pedemont will play on a full-time basis also with plans to soon move to the area.
TRYC captain-coach David Pieper is happy to see several young players join the Magpies.
"A few young blokes have come across which is great to have given we've got no under 15s or 17s," Pieper said.
"It's great to get these blokes to come to the club."
Flack is a speedy midfield type that has battled knee injuries in the past but has managed two uninterrupted seasons over the past two years.
He will add another dimension to the Magpies' midfield.
Fair is a talented youngster that has played in Tullibigeal's back-to-back Northern Riverina League premierships and is expected to slot in on a wing, or forward flank.
Hare, Kefford and Fennessy battled to break into GGGM's first grade team and cross to TRYC in a bid for opportunities at senior level.
TRYC will begin its pre-season training on Friday night and Pieper said there is a buzz around the club after such a proactive recruitment campaign.
"Everyone's really excited and I think it's due to finishing four weeks earlier than normal," he said.
"The last nine years we've either finished in the grand final or preliminary final week.
"This time the boys were keen to do something before Christmas.
"Even starting (today) is early for us but everyone is excited and the club is keen not to miss finals again."
