This thoroughfare, which links the Sturt Mall and the Marketplace, is one of the busiest in Wagga, yet every time there's a heavy downpour; it floods.
In fact it's now happened four times in the past five years.
Perhaps it was timely there was a drought between 2000 and 2010 otherwise the inundation would have occurred far more often.
There was a similar problem at the Tarcutta Street underpass as well, but it now appears that issue has been rectified.
However, this newspaper has tried all week to get a straight answer from council about Forsyth Street, but it is yet to be forthcoming.
All council is saying is they are continuing with their $2.5m flood works program, but won't confirm if it includes this ongoing trouble spot.
Apparently it's difficult to isolate this area of the CBD because it's part of a wider drainage system that spreads from Wollundry Lagoon to Beauty Point.
But if that's the case why then has the underpass problem been resolved?
This is one of Wagga's major streets and shopping districts and quite frankly people have had enough.
Car owners who have had their vehicles submerged are angry, particularly those who have been left out of pocket.
As well, nearby shop owners in the two malls are annoyed as they say every time a storm hits it affects business.
This problem would be bad enough if it was in a backstreet, but it's far from it.
If nothing else it's also a very poor advertisement for our city.
Let's hope something positive comes from council within the very near future, so this conundrum can be overcome once and for all.
