FARRER League improvers North Wagga has continued to bolster its list with the recruitment of experienced pair Jackson Oehm and David Karlberg.
Oehm will return to football after an injury-enforced lay-off while Karlberg follows Chad and Kirk Hamblin from Culcairn to North Wagga.
The Saints returned to finals football this season and went down in a close elimination final loss to Marrar.
The Hamblin brothers, Oehm and Karlberg all arrive at McPherson Oval with Jesse Margosis the only departure to date.
North Wagga co-coach Chad Hamblin believes Oehm and Karlberg will be great additions at the Saints.
"Jacko did his knee 15 months ago and it's just going to be a matter of him getting confidence back in the knee," Hamblin said.
"He'll be handy on a wing with his experience.
"Dave will be our ruckman with Jeremy Luff.
"I think North Wagga lacked a little bit in the ruck last year, they had Luffy but he can't do it all on his own.
"So they will work well together, while Dave can also play centre-half-back."
Hamblin said the experience the pair bring is invaluable.
"They've got a fair bit of experience between them and that's the biggest thing for North Wagga," he said.
"Our goal was to add a bit of experience to the side and the four blokes we've got all bring that."
Karlberg played in multiple premierships at Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong as the back-up ruckman to Jacob Olsson.
He spent the past couple of years at Culcairn under Hamblin.
Oehm is a Wagga Tigers junior and played plenty of senior football there.
North Wagga is still in talks with a couple of prospective recruits.
The Saints will begin pre-season training on January 13 and train three times a week.
Meantime, Upper Murray League club Tumbarumba have appointed Dean Spencer and Ben Carey as co-coaches for next season.
The pair replace Matt Howarth in the top job.
Spencer hails from East Wagga-Kooringal, while Carey has played most of his football at North Wagga.
Tumbarumba vice-president Mont Waters hopes the pair can recruit strongly to help put the Kangaroos back up the ladder.
"We're very happy with the appointment, the two of them are full of enthusiasm," he said.
"They say it still gives them plenty of time to recruit and we know where our deficiencies have been.
"We're excited."
