In a dramatic switch, Harry Cunningham's siblings, Tyler and Jesse, were yesterday unveiled as two of three crackerjack Bombers recruits for 2015.
Completing a remarkable recruiting hat-trick, Marrar also announced widely-travelled, and equally highly-respected, key forward Matt Molkentin had also joined the Bombers.
Molkentin has an impressive resume, which includes playing time with Wagga Tigers and Marrar, and a recent lengthy and successful period with Tumbarumba.
Despite Molkentin's formidable achievements, however, the Farrer League spotlight was most definitely on the Cunningham boys yesterday.
Like their illustrious brother, Tyler, 24, and Jesse, 19, have powerful links to Riverina Football League club Turvey Park, and their decision to leave the Bulldogs was a stunner.
Significantly, the news that Tyler and Jesse Cunningham had jumped ship came as Turvey Park showed off three new faces for next year.
Amid the breaking down of football borders, Marrar coach Nic Casey described the Cunninghams and Molkentin as a perfect match for the Bombers.
"The main thing is how well they fit into the landscape (at Marrar)," Casey said yesterday.
"They're really good blokes and all have connections to Marrar through friendship."
Casey is adamant the Cunningham brothers will be critical players as the Bombers strive to build on their Farrer League efforts of this year.
"They've both got massive upsides," Casey said.
For Marrar, the decisive triple signing strike follows a near-miss in the Farrer League premiership this year.
After finishing fourth on the Farrer League, the Bombers beat North Wagga and Coleambally in finals before dipping out of the race for the flag by losing to Temora in the preliminary final.
Unlike the Cunninghams, Molkentin is returning to Marrar after a lengthy break, including a triumphant stint with Tumbarumba in the Upper Murray League.
With Molkentin kicking a swathe of goals, the Kangaroos won dual Upper Murray League titles in 2012 and 2013 before missing out this year.
Casey said Marrar was not finished in the player market, with "a few more" signings on the horizon.
"It's important we get our list together before we start pre-season training on December 2," he said.
"We'll have a few skills sessions before Christmas and start again on January 7."
With Casey stepping up to replace Clint Taylor as coach for 2015, the Bombers are in the best possible shape to take a shot at the Farrer League crown.
