WAGGA will miss out on a NAB Challenge game when the AFL announces the venues for next year's fixtures on Tuesday.
Wagga has hosted a NAB Challenge game for the past two years at Robertson Oval but is expected to miss out on the 2015 pre-season competition.
Albury's Lavington Sportsground is expected to get the nod as the preferred venue for a game in Southern NSW.
Albury has missed out in recent years after last holding a NAB Challenge game between expansion teams Greater Western Sydney (GWS) and Gold Coast Suns in 2012.
It may be some time before AFL action returns to Wagga.
Narrandera Sportsground is believed to be next, as soon as 2016, as the AFL attempts to rotate between Wagga, Albury and Narrandera for the showpiece fixtures.
