Leading them will be Kapooka commandant Colonel Steve Jobson CSC.
Money raised from the annual appeal provides support for about 1000 widows of deceased or incapacitated veterans and their dependents in an area stretching from the Southern Highlands through to Young, Cootamundra, Junee, Temora, Narrandera and Deniliquin.
Legacy items and raffle tickets will also be sold in the Marketplace, Sturt Mall, Bunnings and suburban shopping centres today from 9am with the help of Wagga school students and other volunteers.
Badges and merchandise start at $2.
The raffle, supported by Wagga businesses, will be drawn at Legacy House at 6pm on Friday.
Money for Legacy is also being raised by the year-long stock drive.
Now in its 46th year, the stock drive usually intensifies between August and December.
