A MAN from Young accused of robbing the Tolland service station while armed with a cricket bat has faced court over the incident for the first time.

Gavin Pallister, 25,on Wednesday asked Wagga Local Court magistrate Michael Antrum for an adjournment to get legal representation.
Pallister is charged with one count of robbery while armed with an offensive weapon.
It is alleged he held up the service station about 12.45am on April 23 and made off with $1200.
He was arrested and charged this month and is on bail.
Mr Antrum adjourned the case until September 24 for Pallister - or his legal representative - to reply to the prosecution brief of evidence.
