Founded with the arrival of the railway, Quandialla became a vital link for farmers and graziers, with the town flourishing for many years.
While the town has since declined since the halcyon days of a strong business community with hundreds of school students and 10,000-strong livestock market days, the village continues to have an important place in Weddin Shire.
A book chronicling the first 100 years will be launched at the Quandialla Bowling Club on September 13 at 2.30pm by the centenary committee.
"This milestone for the committee will see the end of a huge undertaking which has seen immeasurable hours of compiling, typing, editing and re-editing completed by an extremely dedicated group," committee secretary Marlene Taylor said.
"As time passed, the enormity of the undertaking became evident but undaunted by the increasing size of the book, the committee kept working through the check list," she said.
The committee was successful in receiving a NSW Cultural Grant, assisting residents in completing research, writing and the eventual publication.
Mrs Taylor said the official launch was a day not to be missed and an opportunity to get a copy of the book hot off the press.
