CLUB legend Kevin "Dick" Carey has sent a message to Farrer League resurgent North Wagga to keep on fighting as the Saints search for more football success.
Carey - older brother of AFL legend Wayne - addressed a crowd of 130 people at the McPherson Oval clubrooms on Saturday night as North Wagga celebrated the reunion of its 1994 and 2004 reserve grade, and 1994 first grade premierships.
Current Saints president Greg Fox said "Dick" had a simple message for all in attendance.
"Dick gave a good talk; not so much about footy, but more about getting behind the club and to keep supporting it," Fox said.
"He knows the club has done a hell of a lot of work to get to where it is and he basically just told the guys we all have to stick together and keep working.
"He told them that's what creates the basis for a good football side."
North Wagga enjoyed a successful period during the '90s and early 2000s before going into recess in 2007.
The Saints returned to play in the Riverina Football League in 2008 before switching to the Farrer.
A host of current players and members, as well as a number of "old boys" from the 1994 and 2004 teams gathered to mark the occasion on Saturday night.
It couldn't have gone to plan any better on the football field as North Wagga's first grade, reserves and under 17s all returned impressive wins.
The first grade team turned one on for the spectators as the Saints thrashed The Rock-Yerong Creek by 120 points and key forward Troy Curtis kicked 10 goals.
