Playing without captain-coach Daniel Fitzhenry, and crack forwards Nick Skinner and Brent Snowden, Southcity savaged the Brethren by 11 tries to one in a booming 60-6 landslide.
Relatively competitive for the first half, Brothers trailed only 14-6 at half-time before being swept away by an avalanche of tries in the second term.
Needing to score first after the break to gain some momentum, the Brethren instead got the worst possible outcome.
In a blazing start to the second half, the Bulls blasted on five tries in 17 minutes to blow the game apart - and leave Brothers in an absolutely forlorn state.
As Brothers coach Adam Perry took stock of the team's second sorry mauling in a week, the Bulls were able to honour some of the club's most outstanding players in fabulously fitting fashion.
A decade after Southcity was formed by the merger of Turvey Park and Magpies, the Bulls chose Saturday to announce their best ever team.
And far from coincidentally six of the players that destroyed the Brethren on Saturday were given a supreme gong.
Led Matt Ward, the club's most capped player, team-mates Scott Bowden, Wil Merritt, Peter Little, Tim Hurst and Ned Mortimer all shared in the rampage - and later landed a golden accolade.
With injured skipper Fitzhenry (groin) and Skinner (shoulder) thrown in, two-thirds of the Team of the Decade (2005-2014) will also be chasing premiership glory in September.
Significantly, Merritt and Little were named centre partners in the Team of the Decade, and also were in dynamic touch on Saturday.
Merritt and Little scored two tries, while Nathan Rose, who got a spot on the bench in the team of honour, also grabbed a brace of tries on Saturday.
Savouring the sweet success, Fitzhenry later signalled the Bulls were still short of their peak for the season.
Speaking to The Daily Advertiser, the Bulls coach said the past four weeks had been a serious struggle for the team.
"We've barely been able to get on to Harris Park to train," he said.
"There's also been players in and out of the team because of injury.
"It's been a great effort to achieve what we have.
"Hopefully we haven't peaked yet."
As Brothers searched for salvation in the second half, Southcity made their rivals a sacrifice football.
A mistake under a high ball in the 44th minute set the tone for 40 minutes of woe for the Brethren.
Merritt got things started by offloading for Rose to score almost untouched - and the tries just kept coming as the Brethren racked up a cricket score of missed tackles.
In rapid succession, Little (46th minute), Rose again (51st), Merritt (54th) and Little again (61st) scored to allow the Bulls to pound on the points.
By the time big Wayne Goolagong crossed for a try in the 67th minute, Southcity was up 48-6, but not quite finished with the demolition.
Continuing his stellar performance, Little put Goolagong over for a second try in the 72nd minute before Lyons repeated his effort of the first half to streak 70m in the dying seconds.
Standing in at halfback, Little was superb, producing a display of Fitzhenry-esque proportions.
Likewise, Merritt was sensational, but there were no shortage of outstanding performers.
Fitzhenry later saved his kindest words for the forwards, giving Jordan Shepherd, Casey Little and Kieran Schauf a rousing commendation.
Stepping up to play a Skinner-type role, Shepherd was devastating, while Casey Little and Schauf also did a sterling job.
