SOUTHCITY'S win over Temora at Nixon Park on Sunday may have come at a cost as one of the club's unsung heroes awaits word on a shoulder injury.
Bulls prop Brent Snowden sustained what appeared to be damage to his collar bone and failed to run out the game.
Southcity winger Ned Mortimer was unsure of the severity of the injury but admitted Snowden would be a big loss from the line-up.
"I only realised after the game that he had got injured, but a few of the older guys were saying it looked pretty bad," Mortimer later explained.
"He's been really good for us this season so hopefully he's all right."
Snowden's injury cast a shadow over a comfortable Southcity victory.

The Bulls went try-for-try with Temora in the first half and the Dragons were right in the game at the break, until the Wagga club ran away with it to win 32-14.
Mortimer and fellow winger Jack Lyons bagged two tries each as the outside players took advantage of some tough work up the middle.
"I just sit out there and fall over the line really," Mortimer laughed.
"Our forwards really muscled up, they had to contain Scott Matthews and (Michael) Henderson in the middle and they did a really good job of it.
"That set the platform for our backs to score a few tries.
"Temora is always tough, especially over there, so it was good to come away with the two points."
The win ensures Southcity remains just one game behind Group Nine powerhouse Albury, and a game clear of third-placed Cootamundra.
The Bulls face another test this week when they go up against Wagga rival Brothers at Equex Centre.
The Brethren got the better of Southcity when they won 26-22 back in round three and Mortimer knows the Bulls must be on their game this time around.
"They got us early in the season so hopefully we can get one back on them at their home ground," he said.
