But with $250,000 up for grabs, Wagga's Big Brother housemate Sarah Wentworth-Perry will be hoping the luck shared by the Logan twins, David and Greg Mathew, will be on her side.
The twins, who attended Trinity Senior High School with Sarah, bagged $836,000 in prizemoney when they were named winners of the 2005 Big Brother series.
Seven years on, Greg Mathew, now a Newcastle resident, who runs the music festival Fat as Butter and operates the King Street Hotel and Fanny's Nightclub, says it's almost surreal to think how much life has changed since his days as a housemate.
Mr Mathew was recently married and is expecting a child with his partner, while brother David is based on the Gold Coast and runs his own plumbing business with several contracts in the Rockhampton mining district.
"We were quite smart with what we did," Mr Mathew said, reflecting on how he and his brother used the prizemoney as capital to establish their businesses and purchase property.
"That sort of money doesn't come along all the time."
While Mr Mathew said he hasn't been watching the current season of Big Brother, he said that "people go in there (the house) for all different reasons".
"I'm sure they'd (the housemates) be very overwhelmed and very cautious," he said.
"They'd be wondering how it was being perceived by the public."
Though Sarah has been one of the notably quieter housemates over the past week, Mr Mathew said, around the clock, a lot happened in the Big Brother house which wasn't showed on the television screen.
