According to police, a Ford Falcon station wagon and an Isuzu ute collided at the intersection of Copeland Street and the Newell Highway about 6.30am.
The Ford then hit a power pole.
Emergency services found a 42-year-old man had been ejected from the car.
He died at the scene.
The driver of the ute, a 63-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and didn't require medical attention.
Officers from Griffith Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
11.45am: AN ARIAH Park man has died after a two-car smash in Wyalong on Tuesday morning.
The father-of-two was travelling east along the Mid Western Highway when his white stationwagon collided with a ute at the Copeland Street intersection shortly before 7am.
Paramedics found the man dead when they arrived at the scene.
