Police said the Ford Falcon's front windshield was smashed while in motion by a large rock or brick on Thursday night on Glenfield Road.
A $1000 damage bill is estimated to have being caused by the vandalism.
Police said the driver could not identify who threw the object due to poor visibility.
It comes amid a recent spate of rock-throwing targeted at Wagga motorists.
According to police, it is the third time this month motorists have reported rocks being thrown at vehicles.
Wagga police crime manager Detective Inspector Darren Cloake said police are seeking public information to identify the vandals.
"This incident has the potential to not only cause serious injury to the occupants of the vehicle, it can actually be fatal," he said.
