The NSW Transport Management Centre says all diversions have been lifted and motorists are passing the scene under alternating (stop/slow) conditions.
Motorists are still being urged to allow additional travel time and exercise caution as emergency services and traffic crews are still working to clear the accident.
11.20am: The driver of a B-double that rolled west of Hay on Friday morning was killed in the crash, police have confirmed.
A triple-0 call made shortly before 4am saw police and paramedics rush 15 kilometres out the Sturt Highway, where the truck had left the road and overturned.
The driver, a man believed to be aged in his 60s, was trapped in the cabin and died at the scene.
The highway remains closed as investigators sift through the wreckage at the crime scene for clues as to what caused the crash.
Investigations into the crash are continuing and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

EARLIER
A B-double carrying general freight and tinned food rolled west of Hay this morning.
Emergency services are still at the scene of the crash, to which they were called around 4am.
According to limited information from NSW Police, the B-double was travelling west when it left the road and rolled.
The condition of the driver is not known at this time.
The Sturt Highway remains closed.
The RMS has advised motorists to allow extra travel time and use the following detour: Westbound motorists should turn left onto the Cobb Highway. They can then turn right onto Deniliquin Road to Moulamein, then Kyalite, then right on the Mallee Highway to Balranald to return to the Sturt Highway.
Eastbound motorists are being diverted at Balranald onto the Mallee Highway, Moulamein Road and the Cobb Highway to rejoin the Sturt Highway at Hay.
