Mr Crain, 30, died after falling from a power pole near Copland Street on March 23 after being pursued by police.
Police had been chasing Mr Crain after a Holden Commodore he was travelling in was detected allegedly speeding along Tasman Road shortly before his fatal fall.
In the aftermath of the incident, police declared a critical incident investigation, to be formed by officers from Cootamundra Local Command, and remained tight-lipped on its progress yesterday.
He had been described by family and friends as the life of the party at his funeral last month, where he was farewelled by hundreds of people at the Wagga Lawn Cemetery Chapel.
