The former Wagga cricketer has taken his game all around Australia, over to England and is now preparing to jet off to the Netherlands for the winter.
Bartlett will fly out of Sydney on Wednesday and won't return home for six months as he joins Voorburg Cricket Club for a season.
The 27-year-old will be the club's overseas recruit and will have the chance to pit his skills against new players, on different pitches and in different conditions than anything he has experienced before.
"I'm not sure what to expect to be honest," Bartlett said.
"I don't know what the standard of cricket is like or anything but it should be all right."
It's a big leap of faith from Bartlett, who will leave his job in Canberra to make the commitment.
He will be joined overseas by his girlfriend Danielle and the pair plan to travel around as much of Europe as they can during their six-month visit.
It's not the first time cricket has taken Bartlett out of Australia.
In 2008 he spent a season playing County cricket in England and believes that experience will help him adapt to life in the Netherlands.
"I think the standard (of cricket) is generally pretty good over there," he said.
"The only difference is they don't speak as much English but it won't be too bad."
Bartlett is coming off a successful season in Australia during which he won the T20 Konica Cup and the two-day Canberra premiership with Western Districts-UC.
A multitude of injuries at different stages hampered his bowling, but he enjoyed a big year with the bat.
He returned 375 runs at 28.85 during the two-day season, and stood out in the Konica Cup campaign with 236 runs at 47.20 including a blistering 42 and four-wicket haul to win WDUC the final.
Bartlett hopes to shake off any injury woes and take his form to the Netherlands.
"I had a side injury, ankle injury, shin injuries at different stages so I didn't do a lot of bowling," he said.
"But we won the two premierships so it was a good season again."
Bartlett also returned home to Wagga to play for the Wolverines during the inaugural Twenty20 tournament during November and December.
