The fire, which took hold of the Graincorp building in Nicholas Street shortly after 3am, destroyed the office at the site and caused significant damage to machinery located adjacent to it.
Firefighters from the Rural Fire Service and Fire and Rescue NSW took several hours to extinguish the ferocious blaze.
Wagga Acting Inspector Tina McPherson said police were yet to determine the cause of the blaze but it was believed to be not suspicious at this stage.
The blaze at the Graincorp facility comes after a separate fire destroyed an administration building at The Rock Central School on April 2.
That fire also took hold of the school in the early hours of the morning and was deemed by police not to be suspicious.
The Rock Central School was closed for two days as a result of that fire.
Graincorp was unable to be reached for comment.
