The Blues have added three players to its list this off-season and are reportedly on the brink of snagging two big signings.
The latest acquisitions are those of Kabe Stockton and John Evans.
Stockton is a Leeton-Whitton junior but spent 2011 and 2013 playing with Barellan in the Northern Riverina League, where he won the first grade best and fairest medal this year.
Evans comes to Coleambally from Griffith, where he won the Swans' 2013 reserve grade medal.
Blues president Shane Mannes said both players should slot straight into the Blues' line-up.
"We nearly got Kabe the year before last, we got back in touch with him and he seemed pretty keen," Mannes said.
"He likes playing across half back but he can run through the midfield too.
"Josh has been playing first grade or seniors at Griffith since he was 16 and he's a good little midfielder."
Stockton and Evans join gun key position player Fred Stephan from Geelong on Coleambally's "ins" list to date.
Jack Painting has also indicated he will be available to play in 2014 after being kept busy with harness racing for the past couple of years.
Mannes is confident of announcing two more significant signings in the coming days.
Stockton has hooked the club up with another quality midfielder while the Blues are close to signing a mystery "gun".
"Kabe is bringing another guy with him, he was supposed to sign last (Monday) night so hopefully we get him in the next day or two," Mannes said.
"We have another in the pipeline who is a big one, he looks like a really good player."
Mannes hopes with a stronger playing roster, the Blues can be seen as a genuine finals contender next season.
"We are shaping up OK and we want to be taken seriously," he said.
Coleambally is set to lose Andrew McGown to retirement and Mitch Barry as he moves to Melbourne.
Gun ruckman Ryan Bull, who sat out 2013 to recover from injury, is contemplating a move to Sydney with his girlfriend.
