The Bulldogs will welcome back Jack Brooks from two years in the Ovens and Murray League and have also added key position player Luke Vivian from Melbourne.
The third of the signings of The Rock-Yerong Creek tall Dan Fellows.
Brooks has spent the past two seasons with O&M powerhouse Albury Tigers, where he managed 16 games in first grade and played in the club’s reserve grade premiership last month.
Vivian can play centre half-forward or centre half-back and spent the past season playing in Essendon and District Football League’s division two competition with Keilor Park.
Fellows has played limited games for the Magpies in recent years due to a shoulder injury.
Turvey Park president Vin Carroll said the three signings, that further compliment the earlier recruitment of Chase Grintell, have created a great buzz at the club.
“We had our presentation night on Saturday and there is a great atmosphere at the club at the moment,” Carroll said yesterday.
“The feeling is a bit more positive because we’ve signed up a few and we’ve got a few more on the radar.”
Carroll said Brooks will prove a classy addition to the Bulldogs team.
“He can play across half-back because he has a beautiful kick,” Carroll said.
“Or he can play across half-forward and kick goals.
“It will be good to have him back.”
The addition of Vivian will add another key position player to Turvey Park’s stocks after the earlier signing of Grintell.
Arriving from Queanbeyan, Grintell can play at either end of the ground.
The addition of Vivian and Grintell will take less pressure of captain-coach Chris Cerato.
Unfortunately the Bulldogs will lose talented teenager Mick Mattingly to Corowa-Rutherglen when not busy with Murray Bushrangers commitments this season.
